STBEmu Pro is a MAG set-top box emulator that turns your Firestick, Android TV, or Google TV into a virtual MAG 250/270/322. It lets you connect to IPTV providers that use portal-based (Stalker Middleware) infrastructure. It requires a Portal URL and MAC address from your IPTV provider. M3U playlists and Xtream Codes are not supported.

Important: STBEmu Pro is available on the Google Play Store and is a legitimate, officially published application. It is not available on the Amazon Appstore and must be sideloaded on Firestick devices.

Critical Limitation: STBEmu Pro does not support M3U playlists or Xtream Codes. It works exclusively with Portal URLs (MAG portal / Stalker Middleware). If your IPTV provider only gives you an M3U or Xtream Codes login, this app will not work for you.

STBEmu Pro Status Report & Testing Log

Testing notes: On Firestick 4K Max and NVIDIA Shield, ExoPlayer and VLC both performed reliably with stable portals. Portal load time and stream stability depend almost entirely on the IPTV provider’s server quality.

Prerequisite: Enable Unknown Sources

Before sideloading STBEmu Pro you must allow installation from unknown sources.

Firestick / Fire TV (Fire OS 7 or 8)

Before you begin, check your device’s operating system.

Newer Fire TV models (Fire TV Stick 4K Select — Oct 2025, Fire TV Stick HD — Apr 2026) run Vega OS, which does NOT support sideloading.

To check your OS:

1. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About
2. Look at the operating system version:
   • Fire OS 7 or 8 → You can sideload — proceed with this guide
   • Vega OS → Sideloading is NOT possible

If you have Vega OS: Consider switching to an Android TV device (like Onn 4K Plus, NVIDIA Shield, or Chromecast with Google TV) for sideloading support.

1. From the home screen go to Settings.
2. Select My Fire TV (or Device & Software).
3. Click About.
4. Click the device name (Fire TV Stick) seven times until you see the message “You are now a developer”.
5. Go back and open Developer Options.
6. Select Install Unknown Apps.
7. Find Downloader and turn it ON.

Android TV / Google TV

1. Go to Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions (or similar).
2. Enable Unknown Sources / Install unknown apps for the app you will use (usually Downloader).

How to Install STBEmu Pro on Firestick & Android TV

Part 1: Install the Downloader App

Downloader is the easiest way to sideload APKs on Firestick and most Android TV devices.

1. On Firestick go to Find → Search.
2. Type Downloader and select the official app by AFTVnews.
3. Click Get / Download and wait for installation.
4. Open the app.

On Android TV / Google TV: Search for “Downloader” in the Google Play Store and install it normally.

Part 2: Download the STBEmu Pro APK

Security note: Prefer the Google Play Store version when available. On Firestick you must sideload. Only download from trusted sources.

Option A – Simturax App Center Code (Recommended)

1. Open Downloader and tap the URL bar.
2. Enter the code 9651857 and press Go.
3. Navigate to the STBEmu Pro section and start the download.

Option B – Direct URL

1. In Downloader enter https://simturax.com/app-center/ and press Go.
2. Locate STBEmu Pro and download the APK.

Option C – Google Play Store (Android TV / Google TV only)

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for “StbEmu Pro”.
3. Install the official version by Oksana Vasylchuk / Maxim Vasilchuk.

Part 3: Install the APK

1. When the download finishes, tap Install.
2. Wait for the installation to complete.
3. Tap Done or Open.

Part 4: Cleanup (Important)

Delete the downloaded APK file to free storage space.

1. After installation, tap Delete.
2. Confirm deletion.

Part 5: Find the App

Sideloaded apps sometimes do not appear on the main home row immediately.

1. Go to Apps & Channels (or your apps library).
2. Locate STBEmu Pro / STB Emulator Pro.
3. Highlight it, press the menu button on the remote, and choose Move to place it on the main row.

How to Configure STBEmu Pro

Critical: Configuration is the most important part. You must have a valid Portal URL and MAC address from your IPTV provider before continuing.

Step 1: First Launch

• Open STBEmu Pro.
• On the launch screen select Configure Application.

Step 2: Set App Language

Go to Common Settings → App Language and choose your preferred language.

Step 3: Create or Edit a Profile

Go to Profiles. You can add a new profile or edit the default one. Give it a clear name (for example “Home” or your provider name).

Step 4: Enter Portal URL

Go to Portal Settings → Portal URL and enter the full address provided by your IPTV service (including http:// or https://).

Step 5: Configure MAC Address

Go to STB Configuration → MAC Address and enter the MAC address given by your provider. The correct format is usually 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX.

Important: If your provider did not give you a MAC address, generate one in the 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX format and send it to them for activation. Most MAG-based services require the MAC to be registered on their server before the portal will load.

Step 6: Set Screen Resolution

In STB Configuration → Screen Resolution, select Auto for the best compatibility. You can change it later if needed.

Step 7: Choose Media Player (Recommended)

Go to Media Player Settings → Media Player and select one of the available players:

• ExoPlayer – default, fast and reliable on most devices
• VLC – excellent codec support
• MPV – lightweight alternative (may be unavailable on some 32-bit devices)

Note: IJK Player was removed in recent versions because it does not support 16 KB memory page sizes. If you experience playback problems, switch between ExoPlayer, VLC, and MPV.

You can also change the player later from the main screen by long-pressing the OK button on your remote.

Step 8: Save and Restart

1. Exit the settings completely (long-press Back or use the Exit option).
2. Relaunch STBEmu Pro.
3. Wait for the portal to load. Once channels appear, configuration is successful.

Post-Installation Interface Guide

After a successful portal load you will see the provider’s interface (similar to a physical MAG box).

Main Controls

• Use Up/Down to move through the channel list.
• Press Left or Back to open channel groups/categories.
• Select a channel again to enter full-screen playback.
• Long-press OK to open the quick menu (change profile, media player, settings, exit).

Fix Portal Size (Too Big or Too Small)

1. Go to Settings → Browser Settings → Scaling Method.
2. Try different options until the portal fits your screen correctly.

Adding Multiple Portals

1. Go to Settings → Profiles → Add Profile.
2. Repeat the Portal URL and MAC address steps for the new profile.
3. Switch profiles from the long-press OK menu.
