Sometimes you can go to the gym to exercise and other times you have to do it at home for pleasure or obligation. Obviously at home we don’t have all the equipment at the gym, but fortunately what we do have are several YouTube channels dedicated to it and many applications that help us train at home with what we have at hand.
If you are determined to train at home, here are the best applications for you to train at home with the help of your cell phone. You’ll find on the list applications for all types of workouts, from light yoga to cardio or programs to get your abs look better.
7 minute workout
The 7-minute workout is based on HICT (high-intensity circuit training) exercises, focusing on improving muscle and aerobic fitness. They are quick workouts divided into 12 exercises of 30 seconds each, with 10-second breaks between exercises.
The best thing is that, besides not taking much time, you don’t need to have a gym at home either. The only thing you need in terms of equipment is a chair and a wall, besides repeating 2 or 3 circuits every day.
Fitbit Coach
The brand of wristbands and smartwatches has an official application that acts as a personal trainer, and it is not necessary to have a device of the brand. Fitbit Coach has many training sessions with video instructions: bodybuilding, running or walking.
All you need is your cell phone or tablet and follow the instructions for each workout, which can range from 7 minutes to 60 minutes. The application has hundreds of exercises dedicated to your abs, buttocks, arms, legs, back and programs for running and walking.
Home Workout
Home Workout is one of the most popular home training applications, with over 50 million downloads on Android alone. The app provides you with exercise routines for all major muscle groups.
You don’t need any special equipment, as all exercises use only your body weight. In the application you will find exercises for the abs, chest, legs, arms and buttocks, as well as exercises for the whole body, all of them of a few minutes.
SWEAT Kayla Itsines Fitness
Kayla Itsines is one of the gurus of home training, embodied in her own mobile training application. The training is based on her BBG (Bikini Body Guide): high intensity plyometric workouts with minimal equipment.
The application features video tutorials and personalized programs that last for weeks, with high intensity 28 minute workouts, postpartum programs, resistance exercises, challenges, cool down, recovery and more.
HIIT and Cardio
At home it can be a little more difficult to do cardio, especially if you don’t have any equipment at hand, and therefore an application like HIIT and Cardio can be useful. As the name suggests, it is based on high-intensity interval training.
In total you can expect more than 90 exercises with 4 training programs, video tutorials and HIIT, light cardio, jumping and low impact workouts. All this with adaptable difficulty, so that you don’t despair the first few days.
Freeletics Coach
Another alternative to stay in shape at home is Freeletics Coach, which acts as a personal digital trainer. You will find in the application exercises to lose weight, gain muscle or keep in shape, also with high intensity circuits.
You don’t need any equipment to perform the exercises: just your body and your cell phone. To get the most out of it, you should sign up for the Premium version, with complete training plans from 6 to 12 months, but you can try it for free before that to see if it fits what you are looking for.
Six Pack in 30 Days – Abs Workout
Any time is good to turn your abdomen into a chocolate bar that a Spartan would want. Abs in 30 days proposes a plan: 30 days of your time and dedication and some abs as a result.
Say goodbye to your tummy with the three levels of training with 30-day workouts that are also free. You don’t need any special equipment and the application helps you understand the exercises with animations and videos.
Yoga for Beginners
If you’re thinking about a less intense exercise, it’s always a good time to start practicing yoga. But it’s not a matter of trying to do impossible poses with your body overnight: you have to train from the beginning first.
Yoga for Beginners i
s a free application that offers three yoga practices for beginners, all with videos and instructions. In the application you will find Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
Sworkit Fitness
Finally we bring you an application to work out with a little bit of everything, from aerobics to strength training, yoga and stretching. You can choose how much time you want to dedicate to the exercise: from 5 minutes to 1 hour.
You won’t need any additional equipment to do the exercises, so you can easily do them at home. The workouts are adaptable, and some low-impact workouts are included for beginners or seniors.
