The “Spoiler” function can be very useful if you want to force someone to read your Telegram messages and provide the reply you expect.
Messaging apps have become an integral part of our lives. They allow you to instantly communicate with family, friends or colleagues, to solve any problems on the go. And with the advent of Telegram, it has also become a news aggregator and is actively gaining popularity.
Many messengers allow you to read an incoming message without the sender being aware of it.
For Telegram users, just hold your finger on the chat – it opens in a pop-up window, and the “Viewed” mark is not put on the messages.
This is very convenient for the recipient if he or she wants to read but doesn’t want to respond.
However, the sender does not always like this function. After all, everyone wants to receive a reply to a message as soon as possible.
Telegram offers a non-obvious way to send a message in such a way that the person will be more likely to read it with the “Seen” mark, and then will not be able to evade a reply.
To do so:
- Write your message.
- Highlight the text and hit Format
- Tap Spoiler
Done! Now the text of the sent message will be closed and you will be able to read it neither from the list of chats nor from a popup window.
The recipient will have to go to the chat and tap on the hidden text – only then it will be opened for viewing.
And if the chat is already open and you see that the message is read, the answer probably won’t keep you waiting.
